I have over 29 years of experience in healthcare. I have practiced as a nurse anesthesiologist for last 18 years. My anesthesia experience is wide-ranging and has included the care of patients during procedures such as open heart, organ transplantation, trauma resuscitation, general surgery as well as the care of adult and pediatric patients in the office setting.
I received my undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Vermont in 1994. Over the ensuing years I practiced in Baltimore, MD. I then practiced at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in critical care including multi-trauma, neurotrauma-intensive care and trauma resuscitation units. I was also one of five organ procurement coordinators. This entailed working with organ donor families and patients throughout the state and nation. I then attended the nations top ranked anesthesia program at Virginia Commonwealth University. I graduated with honors earning my Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia from in 2002. Upon graduation I was awarded the coveted Agatha Hodgins CRNA Memorial award for academic excellence. Once a board certified nurse anesthesiologist I practiced in Richmond Va. where I covered a busy hospital operating room caring for patients undergoing operations ranging from open heart, neurosurgery, vascular to pediatric oral surgery. In 2009 I moved my family to Plymouth, NH where I was one of two anesthesia providers covering the entire hospital including the emergency department, obstetrics and surgical services.
I remain passionate about my work and dedicated to the safety and well being of patients while under my care regardless of the setting. I remain committed to continually advancing my skill set to ensure my patients remain pain free, safe and happy with their care. I have been a board certified nurse anesthesiologist through the NBCRNA (National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists) since 2002. I am also a member of the following organizations committed to clinical excellence and patient safety.
